Blood River      I held onto the piece of rope behind me with white knuckles and hoped the hull of the small boat would hold. We rushed down the blood-red river with fear in our eyes. It was surprisingly hot for a humid environment and the moisture in the air mixed with the sweat dripping off my cheeks. The air reminded me of summer in the Squasse where my mother had raised me. The steaming rains, the rushing falls and the unspoken fears were all the same. I twisted my hands in the twine around my wrists and tried to remember what it had been like when I had been free. I guess you guys figured out that my goal didn't work out very well... It's sad isn't it... Can't even fit 15 minutes of regulated writing time into my life. When my writing is not really supported by my parents (by that I mean my dads) I guess I get a little break from harsh comments about my inactiveness.

If I still have readers, I promise to get you guys some new stuff. I'm writing a vampire story and on Sanzo's request I might end up posting some of it... once I have a title of course! And I'm doing prompted freewrites in summer school right now so I'll get some of those up as well (maybe even tonight who knows). Thanks for sticking around. I promise to write some more fantasy (for those who love it so much). I've got two going right now so I might post them so you guys can nag me about them and get my butt in gear!
